| I am a Colorado native. I was born in Denver, Co and raised in Commerce City. My family moved to Thornton in the early 80”s. I am a graduate of Bollman Technical Educational Center (formerly Bollman Occupational Center) and I attended Thornton High School.
I started my college career in 1997 at NMSU Carlsbad, NM. I have my Bachelor's of Art degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver. I majored in History and, minored in Education. I have my Master's of Art degree from University of Northern Colorado. I majored in Gifted Education and minored in Curriculum Development. I am currently enrolled at University of Colorado at Denver finishing a Master's of Art degree in History (major-U.S. History, minor Middle Eastern History). I am also a Veteran of the United States Navy.
My passions are my children, learning/teaching, and traveling. I have two children, one daughter and one son. They are my legacy and I love them dearly. I love to learn and pass on my new knowledge to my students. I love to challenge my student's thinking and have them challenge mine. I love to travel especially on my motorcycle.
