| Welcome. Thanks for checking out my web page.
Born in sunny California , raised in freezing North Dakota , I have been pleased to call temperate Colorado my home for the past 17 years. The love of the mountains and the desire to escape North Dakota brought me to Boulder, Colorado as a freshman attending CU Boulder. Yes, I'm a passive Buffs fan.
When I'm not grading, you'll find me watching movies, reading, walking my dogs, Jack and Lola, spending time with my wonderful friends and family. Truly, the people I surround myself with are my most prized possession, next to the antique typewriters, children's book illustrations and elephant collection. Lastly, my macabre yet fascinating area of personal study is the Holocaust and 20th century genocides. I have been fortunate to work with the great people of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for the last five years.
As a teacher, Vantage Point has been my home for almost 16 years. It was my first teaching job, and I've loved it so much I've stayed. My longevity here at VPHS is due mostly to the collegiality among my coworkers and the eclectic nature of our student body. No day is the same and no day is ever dull. I love it! I teach a variety of English classes, with one Social Studies class (via Discovery) thrown in.
